The Saiyans

A warrior race in servitude to the now Freeza Frorce. The lowest level grunts serving the purpose of laying waste to a planet for it's eventual sale. They were the underclass of the force whilst still being hyper efficient at their jobs. From what little we see of saiyan society its clear they center themselves around this role.

Their servitude under the Freeza Force and the Cold Force before them has resulted in their reliance on them. They have to serve to continue experiencing the boons of "wealth" and technology given to them by those forces. Ignoring Super or GT while looking primarily at DBZ and Episode of Bardock (what else is there to look at, also this argument is weakened primarly by Dragon Ball Super: Broly since it gaves a glimps into saiyan life) it feels clear that the technology, and even architecture stem from the force. They are dependent on them and have been molded by them via whatever systems may have been put into place.

Architectural Similarties
a building from planet Vegeta a Freeza force base
Planet Vegeta & a random Freeza Force base (outpost on Planet Frieza No. 79)

Saiyan birth pods weither given to them by the force or otherwise (apparently Sayins are themselves technologically advance, to me it never seemed like it. They've always been depictied as brutes that again have gained what they have due to their employ under the respective forces. Here's a comment with a similar take that I'd believe Link) are tools that allow them to continue to serve at capacity. Instead of having to birth their young they're placed in pods to continue their development allowing mothers to continue to serve. Those babys themselves aren't safe potentially getting sent off to planets to concur them using Oozaru. (A reddit tread touching on the logistics of saiyan planetary takeover)

For as "loyal" (surprise surprise they weeren't the most loyal willing to over throw King Cold and Freeza given the chance) as the saiyans were to the forece, molding themselves to serve the empire; in the end they were killed of by Freeza personally. Almost out of a boredom.

The Concept

I think the concept of the saiyans are interesting though. Taking some liberity you have a group of people "loyal" to or dependent on an empire. One that uses them as military muscle and nothing else, tools to expand their reach. A people that have been mistreated and abused by the empire they're reliant on. A people that are a plague on the universe due to how they've been utilized and molded.

Living parasitic weapons products of the empire they've served for generations; whom without they would've never been capable of leaving their own planet. A population of warriors that are sent out on these genocides that they think nothing of. Technology that handles the gestation of young allowing all members to serve to capacity. A system that sends those new borns off to concur worlds at best or soften them up at worst. A society that doesn't make space for anything aside from servitude; leaving children to be born of what little time they have for realations. No space or time for typical family units with little care for offspring seeing that's no guarantee for its survival or even their own. Familial relations are acknowledge but aren't substantial. Even royalty isn't spared, but they do get the luxury of being with their parents between missions and training. These "family units" are composed of the bearer of the title and the potential heirs. Education is non existent outside of their history of conquest and tales of strength.

All this in servitude to the empire.

The Potential

Be it with actually saiyans or this budge counter part I'd love to see some ideas played out, 1. Those who've seperated themselves from the empire seeking peace or whatever, 2. To see what these people do when they realise they themselves are to be killed off, 3. To see a member of this race who was sent off as an infant and forgotten get taken in by the people of the planet they landed on (let me cook this isn't just the story of DB). They slowly grow up and become part of these people. Carring the weight that their prior families died at their hands unknowingly. Ultimatly rejecting and rebelling against their birth people; wanting an end to the empire controlling them.

The concept is rich with potential and should be something acted on (I'd be cool if this was in DBz but I don't think Toriyama was that type of writer. But the Boi Oda though He'd do it (maybe idk the man)).
